These are photographs taken by me and printed onto aluminum.
The process involves the colors being injected into the coating on the metal.
This gives it much more depth than images that are printed just on the surface.
Also because of this they are very UV resistant.
This image is of dried flowers hanging from the roof of a 100 year old house and were put there by a back country blade shearer by the name of Baddy Mathias. The house had no hot water, telephone nor fridge. He lived in the house with his pet cat Tojo till he was 95 years old. He spent the last two years of his life in the warmth of an old peoples home. The soot on the flowers is from the coal range he used for many years. I adopted Tojo when Paddy had to move from his home. Tojo was a wonderful part of my life for about four years. Paddy and Tojo are now together.
This has a satin finish.
It measures: 90cm x 30cm
