Gold Rush glass necklace: Real 18K gold and copper flecks float on turquoise blue waters celebrating the Otago gold rush
The Otago Gold Rush comes cascading down the river Clutha in this 18K gold fleck and copper pendant. Beautiful and elegant pure sparkle resting on a turquoise blue riverbed. When the gold catches the sun (the light flecks in the pendant) - Eureka! Strike gold and wear with pride!
The hand beaded area is a mix of bronze, glass and wooden beading, including a Koru to represent my home country of New Zealand. Everything is hand placed and painted from the back of the glass. All was created over many many hours to achieve the effect.
The clasp and chain are bronze, giving the necklace an earthy feel.
Glass size is 1" square (2.5cm). The chain is 30cm, the beaded area about 20cm.
The pendant has no setting (i.e. tray) allowing the colours to flow and light to create the inner beauty.
