The Original Murse Co. is the vision of two guys from Hawkes Bay; each working in different industries but both sharing a love for quality New Zealand made products.
One summer’s day in 2012, probably over a couple of quiets, they suggested there was a gap in the male accessory market, somewhere on the spectrum between the messenger (man bag) and traditional wallet – hence the concept for the Murse Wallet was born.
Many man hours later – after researching the attributes of leather, sourcing the skills of a local expert leather craftsman and developing numerous prototypes – the bespoke Murse Wallets you see today are indeed the result of a labour of love – simple yet sharp in design, and handmade using the highest quality materials.
Creating a unique product that is practical as much as it is good looking is central to the ethos of The Original Murse Co. We also like to have a bit of fun!
