Vintage NZ Travel Poster

Haere Mai translates from Maori into English as "Welcome". This NZ vintage poster was originally designed by the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts and printed "by authority of W A G Skinner, Government Printer, Wellington" circa 1920. The view shows a Maori woman in the foreground lowering food into a boiling pool with a meeting house or whare in the background - presumably in one of the geothermal areas around Rotorua. Haere Mai (Welcome to New Zealand) has only recently been re-issued for the first time as a high quality digital print taken from an original vintage poster. The image is printed onto lovely watercolour paper using extremely lightfast inks that will give you many years of enjoyment.
