Remains of the Clay

  Remains of the Clay

fine and fun ceramics by

Annabelle Numaguchi

I took my first pottery class at a community art centre over ten years ago.  I loved it immediately.  The studio became a second home; work was just an irritation that impeded my time with the clay.  I still feel that way.

Raising two kids, changing continents and other good lifestuff happened along the way.  So, pottery occasionally did take a back seat.  Life is good and I'm back full-swing.  Swapping hemispheres (from Utah to Q-town) meant swapping clays, glazes and new ideas with different potters.

Remains of the Clay came with me (a few pieces of pottery and lots of ideas still swimming in my noggin) and I feel full of excitement and possibilities.  What better way to bond with my new country than to sink my hands deep into its dirt?
